South African Tattoo International Tattoo Convention – Cape Town
The South African International Tattoo Convention is a 3-day event that hosts over 140 of the world’s best tattooers from over 20 countries, giving you the chance to get tattooed by expert local and international artists specialising in a large variety of tattoo styles. This event is held at the beautiful Lookout at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and now also in Johannesburg at 1 Fox, Newtown.
The convention is a heartfelt tattooer-owned and family operated event. Each year we consider it a great honour to gather an amazing group of artists under one roof to and share a bit of our beautiful life in South Africa with them.
Over the convention weekend, both in Cape Town and Johannesburg, we host local bands, a beer tent, create a deck bar, and serve you street food made by of the best local food trucks around. If you are into shopping for unique, local designer products, you can also do this at our local curated marketplace.
The show is family friendly and under 12’s get in free!
After the three days of tattooing the fun is not over, the tattooers have established a few traditions like taking the train to swim with the cape penguins, getting out for a boat trip in the V&A harbour and heading down the west coast for #tattoosafari.
We can’t wait to see you in Johannesburg this year on the 24th of March 2023 and then of course as always, in the mother city, beautiful Cape Town, 31st March 2023.
Doors open 5pm sharp on the Friday and 11am on both Saturday and Sunday, and as always everyone is welcome!
